It takes a village
Let’s build a lasting social legacy for young people across Australia. And let’s do it together.
-
Dream it.
Imagine a global football movement where brands build visibility through empathy in communities at a grassroots level across Australia.
Imagine thought-provoking, inspiring, and positive content that meets young people where they are, through a network of role models, creative ideas, and a sense of purpose.
-
Build it.
Imagine a calendar bursting with innovative events, community activations, school programs, and compelling campaigns.
We’ll bring these ideas to life, culminating in a strategic amplification between June and August during the FIFA Women's World Cup 2023.
-
Do it.
Imagine the largest social football forum at the FIFA Women's World Cup 2023, sparking thousands of young minds through transformational moments, and inspiring a new generation of young Australian leaders in football.
Imagine a network of established football brands including Common Goal, FIFA, Football Australia, and Adidas, collaborating with local communities and school partnerships on the ground through Creating Chances.
Meet Anyier, Natasha, Shegofa, Eve and more.
Bring to life the stories of young female leaders who have transformed football in Australia over the last 20 years, often working to create opportunities separate from the mainstream football system. Creating space for refugees to play. Advocating for inclusion and diversity. Trailblazing pathways for Aboriginal football administrators.
We’ll connect them with those who play on the edge of innovation across multiple channels, creating long and short-form content, interactions, and immersive storytelling for hundreds of thousands of young people.
Local. Community. Activation.
Delivered through established Creating Chances partnerships with Primary Schools, High Schools, and local partner connections, activations will foster positive health and social outcomes for thousands of young people in 70 communities across the country, with curriculum-aligned workshops and resources for all young people irrespective of location, socio-demographic status, or background.
We facilitate localised staff engagement with a volunteer program, including partner excursions, mini-World Cup gala days, skilled volunteer workshops, and social media campaigns.
The Pièce de Résistance
Festival23 will be the largest social football forum running during the semi-final week of the FIFA Women's World Cup 2023. We’ve brought together young people to leverage the power of football for good at more than 10 major football tournaments around the world for over 15 years.
This time we focus on four Sustainable Development Goals topics: gender equality, climate change, social cohesion, and youth employability. Football, with purpose, brought to life through a jam-packed schedule, including:
A Youth Leader Summit underpinned SDG 5, and an on-ground community engagement strategy.
A Festival23 Tournament built on Fair Play principles for hundreds of young people.
Cultural exchange through workshops, excursions, and the best of what Australia has to offer.
